Rule #1: Always Verify the Identity
Scammers often use "Identity Theft". They copy the profile picture and name of a legit midman. Always check the URL, Username, and date of account creation carefully.
1. The "Payment First" Trap
A legit midman service like Midman PH holds the payment in Escrow. We do NOT release the money to the seller until the buyer has secured the account. If a midman asks you to send money directly to the seller before anything else, STOP. It is a scam.
2. Fake Vouch Walls
Anyone can edit a screenshot. Scammers post fake successful transaction screenshots to lure victims.
How to verify: Look for consistency. Legit services have hundreds of consistent posts over a long period. Check the dates. Check if the people commenting are real accounts.
3. "Hackback" or "Retrieval" Scams
This happens when you buy an account directly without a midman. The seller gives you the account, takes your money, and then uses the "Recovery Form" (Forgot Password) feature to recover the account the next day.
The Solution: Midman PH secures the "Recovery Data" (first email, creation date, device used) to ensure the seller cannot recover it. We essentially "lock the door" behind you.
